DOR Introduces Electronic Filing for Partnership Income Tax Returns
Following the successful introduction of electronic filing for Corporate taxpayers earlier this year, the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) is pleased to announce that Partnership electronic filing is now officially available for taxpayers and tax professionals. Effective in October 2015, NCDOR began accepting eFiled Partnership tax returns and payments for tax year 2014.
One software vendor, Drake Software, has completed the required functionality testing and is approved to transmit North Carolina Partnership returns. For more information, please visit NCDOR’s eFile webpage for businesses, www.dornc.com/electronic/corpefile.html.
The launch of Partnership electronic filing is another important step in NCDOR’s commitment to strengthen and improve taxpayer services. Future department initiatives include the expansion of electronic filing to Estate and Trust taxes. Updates on this and other projects will be provided on NCDOR’s website as more information becomes available.
