How to Apply for a Position:

Failure to follow these simple instructions may result in rejection of your application for employment.

  • Fully complete and submit a State Application for Employment (PD-107). Unsigned applications will be invalid.
  • Résumés will not be accepted in lieu of a State Application for Employment, and you should not note "See Resume" or “See Attachment” on the job application under the listing of job duties and responsibilities.
  • A separate application must be submitted for each position.
  • If a single application is submitted listing multiple positions, you will only be considered for the first position listed on the application.
  • Applications submitted without position number and position title will be invalid.
  • Applications submitted for positions requiring specified number of completed accounting hours must include a copy of the official college transcript(s).
  • Application(s) can be mailed to the North Carolina Department of Revenue, Division of Human Resources, PO Box 2233, Raleigh, NC 27602-2233, or faxed to the attention of the Department of Revenue Division of Human Resources at (919) 715-4379.
  • Applications, original and faxed, must be received in the Department of Revenue Division of Human Resources by 5 pm on the closing date.
  • If you have questions about our positions, you should contact the Department of Revenue, Division of Human Resources at (919) 733-7313 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • All applicants are subject to a criminal background check and tax status.
