Raleigh Service Center Moved To New Site

Taxpayers Will Have Easier Access

The taxpayer service center in Raleigh moved to a new location at 4701 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 118 in May. The center closed for the move on May 5-7 and the new center reopened to the public Thursday, May 8.

The new center location, which is in the shopping center at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Millbrook Road, offers easier access for taxpayers. It features free, on-site parking and more office space for department representatives to meet with taxpayers.

People visit the center to file and pay various types of business taxes, to get the forms and other information they need to start a new business, to get help with individual income tax issues and in response to letters and notices from the department. The Raleigh center is one of 12 across the state where taxpayers get help from the department. The others are in Asheville, Charlotte, Elizabeth City, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Greenville, Hickory, Rocky Mount, Wilmington and Winston-Salem.
